The Ad Block Bar appears on your web site if a visitor is not using an ad blocker, and prompts them to install one.

What does it look like?

If you're running an ad blocker, you can see what it looks like by clicking here.

The design is visually inspired by the Update Your Browser banner.

How to try it

Download this file, and save it in your site's file directory. Remove the adBlockBar.displayOnce = false line on the bottom. Then embed it in your site's HTML:

<script type="text/javascript" src="adblockbar.js"></script>
And you're done.

Note: This was an artistic weekend project. It likely has bugs. I won't be making further changes, or creating a git repo. If you want to make it into something more serious, feel free to take the idea/code and do whatever you want with it.

The easiest way to figure out who the customer is in an online space is to figure out who is paying for the thing. Usually, the people paying are the customers. So on social networks, the people paying are marketers. That makes them the customers. And it means we are the product being delivered to those customers.
